Countdown to Germany: 40 days
So it is official, I am leaving the States for a year in Germany with my fiance. While this is going to be a major adjustment, I am excited to experience several different countries, and most of all, kick this long-distance thing in the butt. For those of you who don't frequent facebook, you can keep up with me here. For those that do, other than the same pictures, I will be writing everything about Germany and our adventures on here. Thanks to Pinterest, I already have several places I would like to visit while I'm in Germany; its not everyday that you are right next to France, Italy, and other amazing places.
I will be busy my first couple weeks there. Thanks to some very amazing people, Patrick and I have a rent-free apartment to live in. I will be painting and decorating my first week or so there, and we are planning on taking a trip to the pound to get a puppy. Hopefully Khloe will adjust well to a new place, and a new brother or sister! I will start German classes at the end of January, which will take up some of my time as well.
We will be living in Stuttgart in an apartment that was built in the 1930s. Because we have the building all to ourselves, we have a big (European standards lol) yard that overlooks the entire city. Here are some pictures of the place:
As the nervousness passes, I am very excited to start this new adventure. Thanks to technology, I have endless ways to keep in touch with my friends and family, however, it will be a hard transition without them. Pictures of the inside to come...
